Coaching in a Tropical Paradise
What a cracker of a start to 2019 it has been. January was filled with training for the Ski North competition but unfortunately due to weather it was cancelled. However, this didn’t stop North Queensland skiers from making the most of a long weekend, getting some quality coaching in, relaxing and enjoying a beer or two at the end of the day.
In February, I moved up to the beautiful Lavender Hill located on Lake Tinaroo and right on the doorsteps of the Barron River Water Ski Club. Lavender Hill is a must for any group of water skiers with friends and family who want the comfort of a luxury house with stunning views of the lake.
You get lakefront boat access and an absolute stunning ski area.
I have been doing some pre-Moomba jump training and coaching for Queensland's u/17 Jump Record holder Ryan Sciacca. It has been a pleasure working with Ryan and seeing his jump style improve so that he could start kicking some bloody big jumps (and he has!). I look forward to seeing Ryan post some big scores at Junior Moomba and Senior Moomba. Ryan’s not the only skier I have been coaching. I have been 3-event coaching Liam and some other Barron River Club members who are making the most of having me in the area.
I would like to wish Ryan and the rest of the competitors the best of luck! Enjoy skiing at arguably the best water ski comp in the world.
